Terms of Service

The service
SnapText converts images to editable text with optical character recognition (OCR), on a subscription basis. We may add or retire languages and export formats over time; the ones available when you convert are the ones shown on the site.
Plans and limits
Each plan has a monthly allowance of pages (images), a per-file size limit and a per-upload batch limit, as shown on the pricing page. Usage is counted in pages successfully converted to text. Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. We enforce limits on the server; attempts to bypass them may lead to suspension.
Your files and responsibilities
- You must have the right to upload and process every file you submit.
- You are responsible for checking the recognized text before relying on it — OCR can misread characters, especially in blurry photos and handwriting, and the confidence report is there to help you proofread.
- Do not upload malware, or files designed to exploit the service.
- Uploads and results are deleted 72 hours after conversion; keep your own copies.
Accuracy
We report a per-word confidence for every page and flag low-confidence words, and paid plans re-read pages where the first pass is unsure. Even so, OCR is not perfect: blurry, skewed or handwritten source material can be misread, and the service is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. On paid plans, pages where the first OCR pass collapses may be re-read by a vision model; that re-read is a best-effort transcription, not a guarantee. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.
Payments and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle, our merchant of record. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period and then returns to the Free plan. Refunds follow our refund policy.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
